JasperRose are partnering with an award-winning, luxury drinks business (FMCG) that is looking to hire a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis, based in their London Head Office (hybrid working). This is an opportunity to work for a market-leading business in their industry, with a turnover of £125 million with plans to grow a further 10% this year.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a newly created role due to growth, where you will be operating as the number two to the Financial Controller. You will be owning areas of the month-end and year-end as well as driving improvements across their cashflow forecasting and automating the financial controls environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting with the consolidation of the group accounts in accordance with UK GAAP
  • Leading on month-end accounting including balance sheet reconciliations and fixed asset register
  • Playing a key part in the production of VAT returns
  • Working with the Financial Controller to drive process improvement in their cashflow forecasting and managing FX
  • Managing the stock accounting process
  • Driving process improvement across the group including looking at ways to automate processes

What they are looking for:

  • Newly Qualified Accountant or Finalist level Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
  • Experience playing a key part in month-end and year-end, strong balance sheet reconciliation knowledge is essential (open to someone making their first move from practice)
  • Consumer industry experience including stock accounting is desirable
  • Proven experience of improving existing processes and a desire to drive change is key
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables and v lookups) is essential
  • A can do attitude and a desire to learn and develop in this role is key
