A new opportunity has arisen within the global finance function of a highly recognised international consumer brand, operating across multiple markets with a centralised reporting structure. This role will play a key role across both financial reporting and corporate taxation, supporting group consolidation, intercompany processes and global tax reporting requirements. This is a high-visibility position with significant international exposure, working closely with global teams, senior stakeholders and external auditors.
The Role
- Lead the quarterly global intercompany reconciliation process, ensuring accurate preparation and execution of internal reporting processes.
- Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements under IFRS, including disclosures, analysis and audit coordination.
- Contribute to the preparation of Annual Accounts, consolidating a large international group structure.
- Utilise consolidation systems to prepare journal entries, reporting packs and support audit deliverables.
- Perform detailed data analysis and quality review of financial submissions from global entities.
- Drive continuous improvement across reporting and consolidation cycles.
- Research technical accounting matters and provide recommendations on appropriate treatment.
- Develop and coach junior team members within the reporting and reconciliation process.
- Support the preparation of global taxation reporting.
- Maintain and develop tax reporting systems.
- Act as a key point of contact for international and external tax advisors.
- Prepare and distribute quarterly reporting outputs across the global finance teams.
- Support ad hoc analysis and project work.
Your Background
- Qualified Accountant, ideally ACA and trained within a Big 4 environment.
- Experience within a global financial reporting, consolidation or controllership environment.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and international reporting standards.
- Exposure to complex, multi-entity and multi-currency environments.
- Experience with consolidation and reporting systems (ERP / consolidation tools).
- Understanding of corporate taxation and tax reporting is advantageous.
- Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills across international teams.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
