A leading global media and communications group is seeking an experienced Risk & Controls Manager to join its EMEA Risk & Controls team, based in London. The successful candidate will report to the EMEA Risk & Controls Lead and play a key role in implementing and monitoring an effective local control framework across multiple markets in alignment with global standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote a strong culture of ethics and compliance by providing training, guidance, and support on internal controls, anti-bribery, and policy adherence.
- Design, implement, and monitor financial, operational, and compliance controls aligned with internal frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Act as a key business partner to local and regional teams, providing risk and controls expertise while supporting strategic initiatives and business changes.
- Coordinate internal and external audit activities and oversee remediation efforts, ensuring timely resolution of findings.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance control effectiveness, and leverage technology.
Candidate Profile
- ACA/CA/ACCA / CIMA Qualification advantageous.
- Experience in risk management, internal audit, compliance, or related consulting roles.
- Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks and risk management practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience engaging senior leadership.
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to team and enterprise-wide goals.
