Payroll Team Leader| London (remote with travel to London once per month) | International Retail Brand | £40,000 – £42,000 | Permanent role A Private Equity backed; international retail brand is recruiting a Payroll Team Leader on a permanent basis. Working in their London HQ, this is a great opportunity for a payroll professional to work for a globally recognised consumer brand which is forward thinking having recently acquired a new US brand and that is expanding further internationally. This role is remote working with 1 day a month required in the London office. Reporting to the Head of Payroll, this role works as part of a team of 4 and takes ownership for the retail payroll. The role will directly manage 2 people in the payroll team and requires someone used to a fast-paced environment with experience of managing payroll for 2000 employees. Duties will include: Managing and oversee the Payroll team of 2 Ownership of the monthly payroll for the retail division across the UK & Ireland, consisting of 2000+ employees Keeping up to date and ensure changes in payroll legislation and policies are interpreted and implemented promptly and effectively Assisting with reconciling timesheets across 2000+ employees and liaising with Store Managers on discrepancies Managing payroll checks and balances before sign off Supporting with key payroll projects including the transition from Sage to DayForce with a go live date of April 2025 Skill set required: The successful candidate will have experience in a payroll position in the retail or hospitality industry and experience working with 2000+ employees. You will be proactive and enjoy leading a team along, experience of Dayforce is preferred as is knowledge of Irish payroll. You will ideally be studying/ CIPP qualified and any experience of managing payroll projects is desired. You must have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and thrive in working in a fast-paced environment to be considered. In return, you will be a part of a growing retailer who currently operate in 9 counties and currently opening a new store every week.
