A Financial Accountant is required to work for a leading Media business based in Manchester on a 6-month contract (hybrid working, 2 days per week in the office). You will join at a key time for this well-known brand as they focus on several finance transformation projects.
Reporting to the Head of Financial Accounts, you will be responsible for the accounting for various entities, including month-end, balance sheet, and intercompany work.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting with the year-end and month-end preparation for various entities
- Owning the balance sheet reconciliations for various entities
- Managing intercompany reconciliation work
- Responsibility for journal entries and payroll reconciliations
- Supporting with the transition onto new ERP system
What they are looking for:
The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant (or qualified by experience) with experience owning month-end and year-end. You must have experience of accruals, prepayments, journals and balance sheet reconciliations. Experience working in a larger business is preferred but not essential. You will be proactive in nature and enjoy supporting with the improvement on processes on the new ERP system.
