This is an excellent opportunity for a driven junior accountant to join a supportive and collaborative team. This is a broad role with high visibility across both the UK and wider European finance teams, offering excellent exposure to group-level reporting.
Details of the role:
Sitting within the UK Finance team, this newly created position will report to the UK Financial Controller and take ownership of several key finance processes. You\’ll be responsible for daily cash management, bank reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and support on capital expenditure and group reporting.
Responsibilities include:
- Ownership of all UK bank reconciliations and associated cash postings
- Deliver accurate balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Managing intercompany balances and reconciliations with international entities
- Support with cashflow forecasting and cash management
- Assist with monthly management reporting and group reporting submissions
- Preparation of monthly journals (including PSA, employee loans, and intercompany)
- Support with capital expenditure budgeting and fixed asset accounting
- Assist with process improvements and ad hoc reporting as needed
Skills required:
- Prior experience in cash or bank reconciliations, intercompany, or fixed assets
- High proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Netsuite)
- Excellent communication skills – comfortable working cross-functionally and across borders
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail
