Accounts Receivable Accountant (9 month FTC)
Location: Central London (hybrid 3 days in office) | Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 + benefits | Industry: SME FMCG brand
This is an opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Accountant to join a fast-growth, SME FMCG business (food), on a 9-month fixed term contract to cover maternity. You will be joining at a key time for the brand, which is heavily investing in expansion and increasing market share through launching into new retailers.
Responsibilities include:
- Taking ownership of the accounts receivable function for the business, including management of 50+ customers.
- Managing the raising of invoices, including stock invoices.
- Resolving discrepancies relating to stock invoices.
- Partnering closely with both internal stakeholders and external customers to resolve credit control matters.
- Handling bank reconciliations across multiple accounts.
- Supporting with month-end accounting, including accruals and margin analysis.
Skill set required:
The successful candidate will be an AAT/ACCA/CIMA studier or qualified by experience with proven experience owning the accounts receivable function. You will ideally have worked in the FMCG sector, and experience in a stock-based environment is essential. Experience working in a small company environment is desirable, as is experience of month-end duties. Knowledge of NetSuite and Shopify is preferred but not essential. The successful candidate will be a problem solver with excellent communication skills who has the ability to work in a fast-paced and high-growth business.
