St Andrew's is located in the lovely village of Ewerby (5 miles to the East of Sleaford). The home is set around a lovely old vicarage, selectively extended to maintain its character, providing a homely feel while offering modern living accommodation. The home provides personal care, including nursing and dementia care, for 42 residents.

Responsibilities

  • You will join our brilliant Maintenance Team and carry out the day‑to‑day maintenance of the Home and its services and grounds/gardens, ensuring it is a safe and desirable place for residents and team members.
  • Carry out regular maintenance checks and day‑to‑day maintenance tasks, and complete more superficial refurbishment projects (e.g., bedrooms and living spaces) autonomously.
  • Assist the Maintenance & Refurbishment Support Manager with more involved refurbishment projects (ensuites, bathrooms, laundry rooms, etc.).
  • Ensure action plans of all annual Bedroom & Communal maintenance audits are completed within 3 months and room scores meet quarterly targets.
  • Ensure available rooms are decorated and turned around within 3 days of vacancy, and keep the exterior presentable and homely.

Requirements

  • General maintenance knowledge/experience (minor electrical, decorating, plumbing, joinery, etc.)
  • Hold a clean driving licence and use of a car
  • Live within 20 minutes of the Home
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage pressure, conflicting demands, prioritise tasks
  • Ability to organise own time and workload
  • Ability to methodically complete checklists of work and maintenance checks
  • Self‑motivated
  • Modest IT skills (email, print, scan, file naming, basic Excel)
  • Hold a Level 2 or above in Maintenance or Facilities Management (preferred)
