Hours: Full-Time permanent contract. 3 night shifts per week (7pm-7am), including alternate weekends.

About Nightingale Nursing And Care Home:

Nightingale Nursing & Care Home is based in the centre of Edwinstowe, near Mansfield. The home provides personal, nursing and dementia care to 49 residents.

Role Responsibilities as a Nurse:

You will work with the Home Manager, Clinical Lead and other trained nurses in the Home to assess, plan, implement and evaluate quality nursing care to ensure the highest standards of care for residents. This includes aiming for positive outcomes such as preventing pressure sores, avoiding weight loss or gain, safe administration of medication, and minimising falls. You will support carers to provide personal care and assist with daily activities such as washing, dressing and eating. You will be responsible for administering medication, writing and updating nursing care plans, keeping accurate daily records, and maintaining mandatory training with additional training as required. You will promote residents’ choice, dignity and independence and assist with managing the care team, completing action plans and ensuring care plans are updated and evaluated regularly.

Role Requirements as a Nurse:

  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g., Registered Nurse (RGN / RMN / RNLD)).
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a nursing home setting.
  • Experience of writing person-centred care plans.
  • Residing within 30 minutes of the Home.
  • Leadership and people skills; ability to work under pressure; time management and flexibility with working hours; a caring and nurturing attitude; positive and enthusiastic outlook; written and verbal communication skills.
