Hours: Full Time Permanent Contract (7am-7pm - 3 shifts per week including alternate weekends plus an on call weekend rota and 8 hours a week supernumerary time)

About South Moor Lodge:
South Moor Lodge is located in the idyllic village of Walkeringham (5 miles to the West of Gainsborough). The home is centred around a nineteenth century barn, which has been selectively extended in keeping with its character. This provides the homeliness that Jasmine seeks for its homes, whilst still providing modern living accommodation. The home sits within two acres of landscaped grounds, and provides personal and dementia care for 41 residents.
Role Responsibilities Of Team Leader:
- You’ll be responsible for promoting our resident’s independence with a focus on choice, dignity and respect, alongside promoting their physical and emotional wellbeing and to give input during shift handovers.
- Leading our team to support the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of our residents by providing the highest standard of care.
- Supporting our carers to provide personal care and support with daily activities such as washing, dressing and eating.
- Administering medication.
- Promoting our resident’s choice, dignity and independence at all times.
- To ensure knowledge is gained to demonstrate a good understanding of the prevention of abuse of vulnerable adults, recognition of the signs of abuse and procedures to follow in the event of an allegation of abuse.
Role Requirements Of Team Leader:
- Relevant Professional qualification (e.g., minimum level 3 in Health and Social Care).
- Minimum of one year’s experience as a Senior Care Assistant in a residential/nursing home setting.
- Awareness and Experience of the principles of Person-Centred Care Planning (writing person-centred care plans).
- Full Driving Licence and own car.
- Live within 30 minutes of the home.
- Leadership and people skills (conducting effective person‑centred one to one).
- Ability to work under pressure with time management skills.
- A caring and nurturing attitude with a positive and enthusiastic outlook.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Prepared to take on extra training as required.
