Job Title: Housekeeper

Hours: Full Time Permanent Contract, 8am to 4pm, 4-5 shifts per week including alternative weekends/weekend work

Location: Oxendon House Care Home, Market Harborough, LE16 8NE

Salary*: £13.48 per hour plus incentives

About Oxendon House Care Home

Oxendon House is located in quaint village of Great Oxendon (3 miles to the south of Market Harborough). The home is set around an attractive country house, which has been selectively extended in keeping with its character. This provides the homeliness that Jasmine seeks for its homes, whilst still providing modern living accommodation. The home provides personal and dementia care for 43 residents.

Role Responsibilities for Housekeeper

  • Be responsible for completing the janitorial orders for the home.
  • Be able to conduct cleaning audits.
  • Be responsible for carrying out a regular stock take on janitorial stock.
  • Ensure all team member one to ones for housekeeping assistants and ancillary team are completed every two months.
  • Ensure all team members instil a culture of putting residents needs first and providing excellent care.
  • Ensuring bedrooms, corridors and public areas are kept clean and tidy to the required standard and beds are always made up neat and tidy with clean bedding.
  • Adhering to Infection Control Practices as per policy for both the residents, you and your colleagues

Role Requirements For Housekeeper

  • Hold a relevant Level 2 qualification or must contractually sign up to complete this qualification
  • One year of relevant experience in a commercial setting.
  • One year of experience managing people
  • NVQ Level 2 or above in Health and Social Care (preferred)
  • One years' relevant experience in a residential or nursing home (preferred)
  • One years' experience of managing people (preferred)
  • Experience conducting effective person centred One to Ones (preferred)
