Salary & Hours
- Salary: £17.53ph* (from 01.04.2026 £18.36ph) plus 10% SMART objectives bonus paid quarterly.
- Hours: Full Time 7am‑7pm, 3‑4 days per week – half supernumerary time and half working on the floor (including alternate weekends).

About Oxendon House Care Home
Oxendon House is located in the quaint village of Great Oxendon (3 miles south of Market Harborough). The home is set around an attractive country house, which has been selectively extended in keeping with its character. It provides personal and dementia care for 43 residents.
Role Responsibilities
- Work alongside the Home Manager to achieve Jasmine’s mission, ensuring the highest standards of care for residents and developing, motivating and improving team wellbeing.
- Ensure care plans for residential residents are completed within the required timescales and evaluated at least once a calendar month.
- Ensure all team members are fully competent with medication, that weekly audits are completed and medication is requested in plenty of time; medication handling must always be carried out correctly, with all old medication returned to the pharmacy each month and booked on a timely basis.
- Utilise supernumerary time to focus on compliance, leadership and quality assurance rather than being tied to floor shifts.
Essential Requirements
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., Registered Nurse or minimum Level 3 in Health and Social Care).
- Minimum three years’ experience in a residential/nursing home setting, with at least one year working with people living with dementia.
- Awareness of the principles of person‑centred care planning.
- Knowledge of preventing abuse of vulnerable adults, recognising signs of abuse and following procedures in the event of an allegation.
- Live within 30 minutes of the Home.
- Leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Medicine management.
- Ability to provide high‑standards of care and work under pressure.
- Time management and flexibility with working hours.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to balance supernumerary leadership duties with a visible and supportive presence on the floor.
