Activity Co-ordinator – Jasmine Healthcare Limited
Location: Great Oxendon, Market Harborough, LE16 8NE
Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday 9:30am-5:00pm). Will include 1 weekend a month
Salary: £13.79ph Plus incentives

Responsibilities
- Plan and organise activities to contribute to residents’ well-being with thoughtful, personalised experiences
- Provide support for residents facing confusion or behavioural challenges using person-centred techniques; offer one-to-one comfort and companionship and document interactions in notes
- Maintain and upload the activity calendar to Facebook weekly and display it around the home; post engaging activities on the Home’s Facebook page
- Attend activities meetings and ensure the monthly Newsletter is completed and posted around the home and on Facebook
- Encourage and involve team members, relatives and friends in activities; communicate via emails; act as an Ambassador for the home, including fundraising (fundraising is matched £ for £ by Jasmine)

Essential Requirements
- At least one year of relevant experience providing activities in a care home or similar environment (e.g., teaching assistant, nursery nurse, LD/supported living care assistant) OR 3 years as a care assistant in an elderly residential or nursing home
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or Activities; or willing to sign up to work towards one
- Must be able to work 35 hours minimum per week including 2 weekend days every four weeks
- Live within 20 minutes of the Home
Preferred Requirements
- Two years of relevant experience providing activities in a residential or nursing home
- Two years of relevant experience of providing care in elderly residential or nursing home
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
