An opportunity has opened for a Solar Engineer to join an engineering and construction company based in Central London. The ideal candidate will have a background working on Solar PV systems for commercial building rooftops and will have experience designing using AutoCAD.
The company are growing quickly and are offering a hybrid working model where you can work from home 2 to 3 days a week. There is a small amount of travel to London sites for this role to ensure projects are moving smoothly and they are also offering 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
Solar Engineer Key Skills:- Experience within the solar sector and designing within the commercial sector
- Experience of designing rooftop solar systems
- Project engineering / management experience
- PVSyst or similar would be good
- AutoCAD experience would be ideal
- Experience working within a construction environment
- Ideally a background of working on projects of over 100kWp
- A degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Renewables would be a bonus
- Designing and project engineering of commercial rooftop solar systems
- Using AutoCAD and PVSyst for designing and creating yield estimates
- Liaising with installation teams and project manager to ensure projects are running on time and correctly
- Some site visiting will be required to check the progress of projects
- Designing and reviewing layouts
- Submitting G99 applications for Solar PV projects
- Ensuring projects meet the industry standards
