An opportunity has opened for a Tekla Draughtsperson to join a construction company based in Derby. The ideal candidate will have excellent experience using Tekla Structures (3D) and will have experience detailing heavy structural steelwork. You will be joining the drawing office team and working alongside project engineers so you will be involved in projects from start to finish.

Key Skills:
  • Extensive experience detailing in Tekla Structures
  • Experience within the structural steel industry
  • Excellent knowledge of BIM workflows
  • Any AutoCAD design experience would be a bonus
  • Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication processes
  • Ability to interpret architectural and structure drawings

Responsibilities:
  • Working alongside designers and project engineers assisting with projects
  • Using Tekla to produce 3D fabrication models from engineers design calculations
  • Producing information packs for fabrication and assembly drawings
  • Working with the detailer team to add connections as per engineers calculations
  • Working on your own as well as a part of a team
