Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services Location: Cambridge Salary: £60,000 to £80,000 Industry: Building Services, Lighting, Security An opportunity has opened for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a building services company based in Cambridge. The ideal candidate will have experience of designing and implementing electrical systems within buildings and have a background designing solutions for power distribution, fire alarms, lighting and other security systems. The role is open to people with more experience or if you’ve got a couple of years experience and looking to expand on that background, you will also be considered! Electrical Design Engineer Key Skills: * Experienced Electrical Design Engineer or Building Services Design Engineer with an electrical bias * Knowledge of UK Building regulations and IET wiring regulations * Background using Electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical or Revit MEP * Knowledge of UK Electrical codes and BS7671 * Any knowledge of LED lighting, renewable energy or smart building systems would be a bonus * Understanding of Electrical installations and designs behind them Electrical Design Engineer Responsibilities: * Developing electrical design solutions for power distribution, fire alarms, lighting and security * Ensuring designs meet UK Building Regulations and are fully compliant * Designing electrical installation in accordance with BS7671 * Ensuring calculations are correct for the designs and reviewing specifications * Using and overseeing AutoCAD and Revit MEP models * Liaising with other teams and keeping in communication with clients about designs If you could be interested in finding out more about the role as an Electrical Design Engineer, please apply with your latest CV
