An opportunity has opened for a Mechanical Engineer to join a manufacturing company based in Bristol. The ideal candidate will have a background as a Mechanical Engineer or similar and will have experience using CAD such as Solidworks as well as an understanding of mechanisms and engineering.
You will be involved with initial designs of new prototypes all the way through to completion including build and testing so this role suits people who are interested in the whole product lifecycle. The company are looking for someone to work onsite but have flexible start and end times if needed.
Key Skills:- Experience as a Mechanical Engineer or similar
- Design experience β ideally using Solidworks
- Background within automation, motors, electromechanical or robotics ideally
- FEA and GD&T experience would be a bonus
- 3D Printing experience would be a bonus
- NPD experience β ideally from concept to completion
- Mechanical build / assembly and testing experience
- Working with the team creating new product designs as well as amending existing ones
- Analysing designs to ensure they meet mechanical fundamentals
- Assisting with the build, test and inspection of new prototypes
- Working hands on with 3D printers to bring CAD drawings to life
- Using Solidworks primarily
- Liaising with electronic engineers and other team members at all stages
