We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Engineer who will be working on machinery on customer sites. In this role, you will receive training in the range of forest machinery products retailed by the company, and would work towards installing, servicing, and maintaining products across your area. The role is a full time, permanent position. The role requires you to work remotely from a service van.
We are looking to recruit someone in either the Avon, Gloucestershire, Somerset or Wiltshire area to provide service to our customers.
The Main Purpose of The Role Is to:
· Provide customer support through the installation, maintenance, and repair of products retailed by the company.
· Act as an ambassador between the Company and our customers, working with the sales team to promote machinery sales, through regular customer contact.
Main Duties and Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
· Co-ordinate with main depot to carry out repairs and/or replacement of faulty mechanical equipment.
· Diagnose, repair, and install forest machinery and/or equipment, on site and by phone.
· Keep an inventory of equipment required for any repair work, including the completion of all documentation and process according to company protocols.
· Utilise relevant technical manuals for trouble shooting test procedures etc.
· Order any parts required for machines and by customers from main depot.
· Conduct safety checks on all machines.
· Work with the sales team to promote machinery sales.
· Be prepared to visit the main depot when required.
· Occasionally be required to go overseas for training at relevant factories.
· Instructor Opportunities: Potential to become a qualified Lantra instructor, providing training to our customers on the various types of machinery we supply.

Must hold a full UK driving licence.

Previous experience and knowledge in mechanical engineering/maintenance skills. Ideally from but not limited to an agricultural or plant background.

Possess excellent organisational skills, be resourceful and solution driven.
