About the Job
Senior PHP Software Developer – City London
The ideal candidate will have sound 5 to 10 years proven commercial experience with developing software with PHP and MySQL.
Must have experience of working on a Linux server with good experience of database optimisation and caching technologies, such as Memcached, Redis or Varnish.
Will also need to be comfortable working with back-end business logic and have experience of best-practice front-end development, using jQuery.
Based in Central London you will be working on the development of a high-end, scalable e-commerce retail platform.
What You Need to bring to the table for this position:
At Least 5+ years of Commercial Experience and Knowledge of:
PHP
MySQL, including database optimization
LAMP
Linux
MVC, ORM
HTML
CSS/XHTML
JQuery
Caching Technologies, such as Memcached, Redis or Varnish
Ability to work independently or as part of a team and operate to tight deadlines
Sense of humour please
Advantageous But Not a Must:
Great knowledge of Apache, specifically Mod Rewrite
Good working knowledge of Linux, including command line
Server administration experience
Ecommerce experience
