We are looking for an Application Support Analyst with 3 to 5 years of proven experience working in Test environments, ensuring all applications are fully supported in Test/Non-production mode.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and execute deployments in non-prod environments.
  • Work in complex, multi-stream application environments.
  • Deploy builds into non-production environments.
  • Collaborate closely with Development and Release Management to solve complex Build/Deployment processes throughout all phases of software.
  • Ensure all changes fall within application maintenance windows.
  • Create builds (Hotfix and/or full EAR) using information provided by development teams for deployment across environments.
  • Identify processes in need of automation or scripting.
  • Build and maintain automatic deployment scripts.
  • Coordinate with different teams - Configuration Management, DBAs, Customer Infra teams, and Application Development teams as part of deployment execution.
  • Understand various deployment release notes and create handover release notes for production deployment teams.
  • Manage configuration versions for different streams of development in versioning and revision control systems.
  • Troubleshoot deployment-related issues and work with development, application, and infrastructure teams to resolve any issues.
  • Understand open/distributed systems and Agile framework.
  • Have awareness of ITIL framework.
  • Deliver results under pressure.
  • Possess good written and verbal communication skills.

Main Skills Required:

  • Good working knowledge of distributed technologies.
  • Experience in Application deployments in complex, multi-stream application environments.
  • Experience in deploying Java/J2EE based applications.
  • Experience in deploying Middleware components such as IHS, IIS, webMethods, and WAS.
  • Deployments of core applications and middleware layers.
  • Good awareness or certification in ITIL framework.
  • Understanding of Oracle and MS-SQL DBs with experience in creating and running scripts for deployment, data extraction, and data insertion.
  • Strong Unix/Linux OS knowledge.
  • Proficient in deployment of applications in .NET and Java using Jenkins, Maven, and SVN.
  • Good experience in middleware deployments like WAS, IBM HTTP Server (IHS), MQ, and webMethods.
  • Good experience in running DB scripts (Oracle and MSSQL).
  • Familiarity with tools: Jenkins, SVN, SNOW, Jira, Maven, Puppet, Ant.
  • Appreciation of the Application Test life cycle.
