Food Manufacturing Senior NPD Technologist based in North Yorkshire. This role is a great opportunity for someone looking to step up into a management position. You will manage, lead and own NPD on site, therefore must be good at working with retailer NPD teams and be familiar with in-house retailer technical systems.
Reporting to the General Manager, responsibilities for the role will include:
- Managing customer relationships with retailer NPD teams
- Managing your team on a day-to-day basis
- Providing product insight into market trends
- Owning key retailer private label projects from concept to launch
- Monitoring product quality post launch
- Sourcing packaging ideas, options/ samples
Essential / Desirable skills include:
- Experience of working with private label and UK Retailers
- Evidence of good project management skills and critical path ownership
- Familiar with retailer specifications systems
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work cross department
- Ability to travel when required
- Must be able to taste test all products on site
