Quality Assurance Assistant for a bespoke Food Supplier based in Nottinghamshire. If you are passionate about food safety and quality and have a meticulous approach to documentation, this is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of quality issues, supplier compliance, and complaints investigation across the business.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, responsibilities for the role will include:

  • Specifications – transferring spec information from our suppliers onto our own format
  • Speaking with suppliers to gain information we and our customers require
  • Customer queries – sending supplier certificates, completing HARA forms, completing Allergen documents, completing customer questionnaires, specific product queries
  • Logging complaints on the database
  • Investigating complaints with suppliers and replying to customers regarding the complaint
  • Working closely with the Technical team and other departments within the business

Essential / Desirable skills include:

  • Experience with specifications and customer complaints
  • Experience within the food industry in a QA / Technical role
  • Computer literate
  • Experience with Quality Assurance systems
  • Good attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of microbiological standards
