The role

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an Accommodation Hire Controller to join our JP Accommodation Team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our major projects by collaborating with customers and clients to manage orders and inquiries for our modular buildings and multi‑cabin site setups, ensuring efficient project delivery and exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Project Management
    • Administer and oversee large, complex projects related to Portable Accommodation & Modular Buildings.
    • Prepare and present layout drawings, quotes, and secure orders.
    • Administer contracts and ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
    • Plan deliveries and prepare method statements.
  • Coordination & Communication
    • Coordinate activities between customers, workshops, transport, subcontractors, and support departments to ensure smooth project execution.
    • Monitor project progress to ensure deadlines are met.
    • Communicate regularly with customers via phone, email, and other written communications to address questions and concerns.
    • Process and manage off‑hire requirements.
  • Customer and Sales Support
    • Assist with new and used accommodation sales.
    • Provide support for general accommodation requirements.
    • Generate reports and analyses related to accommodation hire activities.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Support the Accommodation BDM (Business Development Manager) in targeting major project opportunities.
    • Provide general administrative support to the Accommodation manager and JPX/Accommodation Team.
  • Health & Safety
    • Ensure that the company and client health and safety policies are understood and followed while on‑site.

Are you the right person for this role?

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Strong administrative experience, with a solid proficiency in computer skills, including numeracy and written communication.
  • Experience with computerised drawing packages would be beneficial but not essential, as training will be provided to the right candidate.
  • Previous experience in planning, managing, and coordinating project activities to meet deadlines is highly advantageous.
  • Experience within the hire industry, particularly in portable accommodation, would be beneficial. However, candidates with backgrounds in other B2B customer service roles, account management, or transport will also be considered.
  • You will be able to work independently, demonstrating excellent communication, influencing, negotiating, and presentation skills, both internally and externally.
  • Above all, you should be able to collaborate effectively within a team, be self‑motivated, and exhibit strong time‑management skills.
