Join Our Growing Team at Jarvie Plant! We are excited to offer the opportunity for a motivated Recruitment & HR Coordinator to join our team, based at our Edinburgh (Newbridge) Head Office.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting our people operations by coordinating recruitment activity and providing day‑to‑day HR administrative support across the business. You’ll work closely with hiring managers, employees, and the wider HR team to ensure a smooth employee lifecycle experience, from attraction and onboarding through to ongoing employee support.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Acting as a first point of contact for recruitment and HR administration queries, providing clear, professional support to managers and employees.
- Coordinating end‑to‑end recruitment activity, including posting vacancies, shortlisting support, arranging interviews, issuing offers, and pre‑employment checks.
- Supporting onboarding processes, ensuring contracts, right to work checks, inductions, and system access are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems, ensuring data integrity and GDPR compliance.
- Assisting with HR administration across the employee lifecycle, including starters, leavers, changes to terms, and probation reviews.
- Supporting managers with recruitment processes and best practice guidance.
- Assisting with absence management tracking, documentation, and reporting.
- Supporting coordination of training, compliance requirements, and mandatory checks.
- Preparing HR documentation, letters, and reports as required.
- Supporting employee engagement and communication initiatives across the business.
- Identifying opportunities to improve HR and recruitment processes and ways of working.

- Previous experience in a Recruitment, HR, or HR Administration role.
- A good understanding of recruitment processes and general HR administration.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when handling confidential information and documentation.
- Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A professional, approachable manner with the ability to support employees at all levels.
- Confidence using HR systems and IT packages, including Microsoft Office.
- A proactive and solution‑focused approach, with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Experience working in a fast‑paced or operational environment would be beneficial, but not essential.
