In this hands‑on role, you’ll be instrumental in maintaining and servicing our extensive hire fleet, ensuring reliability and top performance across a wide range of projects.

How This Role Supports The Delivery Of Hire Solutions

As a Plant Fitter, your expertise is vital to keeping our fleet hire‑ready and operating at its best. You’ll play a key role in delivering dependable, high‑quality equipment that meets our customers’ needs — on time, every time. By proactively identifying and resolving issues, you’ll minimise downtime, maintain service reliability, and contribute directly to the success of our hire operations.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, providing efficient and effective solutions.
  • Ensure all machinery performs at optimal levels.
  • Proactively identify potential issues and address them before they escalate.
  • Communicate technical issues and solutions clearly to both customers and team members.
  • Manage multiple tasks in a busy environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work completed, including parts used.
  • Collaborate with team members to foster a positive and productive workplace.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations, including safety checks and implementing safe work procedures.

  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical engineering (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, HND, or equivalent).

  • Proven experience within the plant industry or a similar field.
  • Excellent troubleshooting abilities with a track record of diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical issues.
