Join Our Growing Team at Jarvie Plant! We’re looking for a proactive and reliable Labourer to join our team at our Glasgow Depot. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that plays a vital part in ensuring our equipment is ready, safe, and available to meet the needs of our customers.

As a Labourer, you will help ensure our equipment is clean, well-prepared, and ready for hire. By keeping the yard organised and supporting the preparation, movement, and maintenance of plant and vehicles, you will help ensure customers receive safe, reliable machinery on time and in excellent condition. Your work directly supports the smooth delivery of our hire services and upholds the high standards our customers expect from Jarvie Plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised yard environment.
  • Prepare and clean plant machinery, vehicles, and equipment for hire.
  • Assist with the movement, loading, and unloading of equipment.
  • Carry out basic maintenance checks, fuelling, and internal cleaning of machinery.
  • Support deliveries, collections, and equipment inspections for safety and compliance.
  • Collaborate with fitters, drivers, and other team members to ensure efficient operations.
  • Respond to basic customer inquiries in a helpful and professional manner.
  • Participate in stock checks and help manage inventory.
  • Follow all safety protocols and attend relevant training as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Line Manager or Supervisor.
