Permanent Contract: Part-time

15 hrs / 3 days per week

Jarrolds is currently seeking a reliable person with security experience to be responsible for early morning security duties at its retail sites in Norwich City Centre.

The role is part time (15 hrs) over 5 days per week. Typically, the shifts will be 6am – 9am.

The successful applicant will work alongside the on-site Loss Prevention team and will be responsible for:

• Unsetting security alarms and opening the City Centre retail sites to colleagues, contractors, and authorised visitors.
• Able to maintain constant awareness of surroundings; attention to details
• Activating systems including lighting. HVAC, and Time & Attendance equipment.
• Health & Safety checks to ensure the buildings are safe for daily occupation.
• Reporting any H&S, Security, maintenance, or hygiene issues to relevant departments.
• Supervising and checking in the arrival of colleagues, contractors, and authorised visitors.
• Assisting with the opening the department store to customers.
• Ensuring role-related equipment is in good working order, and always ready for further use.

• Able to work alone,
• Must always present a professional appearance.

The following criteria would be desirable:

• Previous experience in a similar role,
• SIA License.
