Jarrolds is currently seeking a reliable person with security experience to be responsible for early morning security duties at its retail sites in Norwich City Centre. The role is part time (15 hrs) over 5 days per week. Typically, the shifts will be 6am – 9am.
The successful applicant will work alongside the on-site Loss Prevention team and will be responsible for:
- Unsetting security alarms and opening the City Centre retail sites to colleagues, contractors, and authorised visitors.
- Able to maintain constant awareness of surroundings; attention to details.
- Activating systems including lighting, HVAC, and Time & Attendance equipment.
- Health & Safety checks to ensure the buildings are safe for daily occupation.
- Reporting any H&S, Security, maintenance, or hygiene issues to relevant departments.
- Supervising and checking in the arrival of colleagues, contractors, and authorised visitors.
- Assisting with the opening of the department store to customers.
- Ensuring role-related equipment is in good working order, and always ready for further use.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following essential skills:

- Previous experience in a similar role.
- SIA License.
