Applications are invited from dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Nurses, Allied Health Professionals or Social Workers to join the Adult Learning Disabilities Community Living service as Band 5 Team Leader on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands.

Reporting to the Band 6 Deputy Manager, you provide and oversee the care and support for Service Users with complex Learning Disabilities in their own homes and in the community, leading and motivating the Band 3 and Band 4 Support Workers in your team. The service users have a variety of both physical and psychological needs, and require assistance with daily living tasks, and to access the wider community.

Guernsey provides a comprehensive and high quality Health and Social Care service to Adults with Learning Disabilities over 18 across the island.

Person Requirements

  • Registered Nurse, AHP or Social Worker with appropriate UK statutory professional registration as applicable.
  • Current or recent experience supporting people with a Learning Disability and/or Autism including newly or soon-to-qualify Learning Disabilities Nurses looking to start their post-registration career.
  • Current clean driving licence.

Personal Qualities to include: Reliability, Honesty, Patience, Resilience, Motivation and Leadership skills.
