We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Support Worker to join the Community Living team within the Adult Disabilities Services on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands. The Service supports people with learning disabilities and autism in various settings, including residential homes, a short-break service, supported living, and outreach. A new, purpose-built autism hub has recently opened. This role is based within the Community Living team, with opportunities to expand your skills in other areas of the service, depending on your knowledge and interests.

Please note: Guernsey has adopted the AfC banding system but applies its own salary scales. The current Band 4 salary ranges from £33,565 to £39,866, plus an annual bonus of £1,605 and higher unsocial hours enhancements (40% evening/Saturday and 80% Sunday/Bank Holidays). Annual leave starts at 36 days and can extend up to 42 days, with full credit for NHS service for both annual and sick leave. The island of Guernsey has a population of 65,000 and offers some of the British Isles' finest beaches, a mild and sunny climate, and a historic harbor town, St. Peter's Port.

Person Requirements:

  • At least two years of experience as a Support Worker in a Learning Disabilities setting.
  • An NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification is essential for Band 4 roles.
  • Right to work in the UK or Guernsey (no employer sponsorship required).
  • Hold a current, full UK driving license.
