Applications are invited from experienced Care Assistants with a genuine commitment to working with older people to join the team at our clients 27‑bedded Residential Care Home on the beautiful Island of Alderney, in the Channel Islands.
Salary range: £13.70 to £16.34 for days (08:00‑20:00), and £16.34 to £19.94 for night duty (20:00‑08:00). The Home strives to provide affordable and sustainable care to the elderly residents of Alderney and has a long history of providing care and support. The Home is currently undergoing expansion, moving to 52 beds single occupancy with en‑suite facilities.
Please note Employer sponsorship (CoS) is not offered; applicants must be British or Irish nationals, or UK permanent residents. Initial single staff accommodation is offered; it is a room in the Home, provided for your first few months on the island.
Alderney is the third largest of the five islands that make up the Bailiwick of Guernsey, not far from the French coast. The island boasts elegant beaches, historic fortifications, and a small castle. It offers a relaxed way of life, a safe environment, and beautiful cliff‑top views, along with a great selection of places to eat, fascinating history and unique wildlife.
Person requirements:- At least six months experience in an appropriate older adult care setting.
- Passionate about working with older people of varying levels of dependency.
- The desire to work in a team and organisation committed to person‑centred care.
- Independent and non‑time‑limited leave to remain in the UK (no employer sponsorship required).
- A higher‑than‑UK salary.
