Applications are invited from suitably-experienced Dietitians to lead the Dietetics and Nutrition Service at the major health facility on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands. The Team comprises seven qualified Band 6 and Band 7 Dietitians across Hospital, Diabetes, Oncology, Community, Paediatrics, Mental Health & Learning Disabilities.
Reporting to the Therapies Lead you will:
- Be responsible for the overall management of the Guernsey Nutrition and Dietetic Service, providing strong leadership and clinical guidance to all staff in the Service.
- Act as the professional advisor on nutritional matters, working collaboratively with senior colleagues to ensure robust governance, policies, and standards of nutritional care across all settings.
- Lead on professional and strategic development, ensuring that clinical governance, workforce planning, education, and training align with service needs and support a capable, future-ready workforce.
- Liaise with the Hospital Catering department to ensure Hospital Food Standards are met in both Guernsey and Alderney, and also work with Community Nutrition Standards.
Please note; Guernsey has adopted the AfC banding system, but have applied their own salary scale. The Guernsey Band 8A salary range is £73,340 to £87,888 plus an annual bonus of £1,747. Annual leave starts at 36 days up to 42 days with full credit for NHS service for annual leave and sick leave.

Person requirements:
- Qualified Dietitian with full HCPC-registration.
- Current or recent Band 7 experience in an Acute Hospital role.
- Strong professional advocacy skills in developing junior Dietitians.
- Ability to continue to shape and evolve the current service.
