Applications are invited from experienced Support Workers to join the Adult Learning Disabilities Complex Residential team on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands. The site is a newly opened purpose-built facility providing support for 14 Service Users in single self-contained flats. The flats are in a fantastic location - flat for wheelchair users near the beach, shops and cafés and access to bus routes. Well-equipped and appointed with key considerations for Service Users with profound learning and physical disabilities; safely enclosed garden, ceiling track hoists and sensory-sensitive colour schemes.

Please note; Guernsey has adopted the AfC banding system, but have applied their own salary scales. The current Band 4 salary range is £33,565 to £39,866 plus an annual bonus of £1,605 and higher unsocial hours enhancements; 40% evening/Saturday and 80% Sunday/BH. Annual leave starts at 36 days up to 42 days with full credit for NHS service for annual leave and sick leave. The island of Guernsey is in the Channel Islands and has a population of 65,000. It has some of the British Isles' finest and best-kept beaches, a mild and sunny climate, and an offbeat, historic harbour town in St. Peter's Port, the island's capital.

Person Requirements:

  • At least two years experience as a Support Worker in a Complex Learning Disabilities setting.
  • Experienced with supporting Adult Service Users with profound learning and physical disabilities.
  • An NVQ3 qualification in Adult Health & Social Care.
  • Right to work in the UK or Guernsey (not requiring a new employer sponsorship).
  • To hold a current full UK driving licence.
