Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced Approved Mental Health Social Workers / AMHP to join our clients Adult Mental Health Social Work Team on the beautiful Island of Guernsey , in the Channel Islands. This is a Band 7 post based in the Duty & Intervention Team. The Duty and Intervention team forms part of adult mental health services offering both urgent and non-urgent assessments to people presenting with severe mental health issues and/or acute risk. The composition of the team reflects an integrated multi-disciplinary model of mental health and social care. You will provide intensive, recovery-focused Mental Health support to clients both in the hospital and in the wider community. You will also be required to to take part in the Island-wide rota in the carrying out of ASW/AMP duties including; liaison with GPs, FMEs and Psychiatrists and developing and maintaining multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working. Please note; Guernsey has adopted theAfCbanding system, but have applied their own salary scales. The current Band 7 salary rangeis £57,635,578 to £75,789 plus an annual bonus of £1,747 and higher unsocial hours enhancements; 36% evening/Saturday and 72% Sunday/BH. Annual leave starts at 36 days up to 42 days with full credit for NHS or UK Local Authority service for annual leave and sick leave. The island of Guernsey is in the Channel Islands and has a population of 65,000. It has some of Britains finest and best-kept beaches , an especially mild and sunny climate , and an offbeat, historic harbor town in St. Peters Port, the islands capital. Person Requirements : Social Worker with current full Social Work England (or equivalent devolved UK registration) Completion of appropriate ASW/ AMHP training. A minimum of two years current or recent practice experience woring as an AMHP Ability to make judgments and decisions with confidence, and to cope in stressful situations, prioritise and manage own workload.
