Are you a Technical Sales Engineer looking for an opportunity to develop your sales skills further and want to progress in your career? Due to continued growth, they are looking for a sales engineer who can grow with the business.

This is a home-based position with regular travel to customer sites across the South East of England, giving you the opportunity to work closely with a diverse range of manufacturers while enjoying the flexibility of a field-based role. Occasional visits to the company HQ office will also be required for training, meetings and team collaboration.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with experience in technical sales, applications engineering, product support or industrial automation who wants to become a recognised product specialist within a highly successful international organisation.

Working closely with both customers and the sales team, you will provide technical expertise and application support, helping customers identify the most effective solutions for their manufacturing and engineering challenges. You will play a key role in supporting sales growth, developing customer relationships and identifying new opportunities across a broad range of industries including automotive, food & beverage, packaging and life sciences.

The Role:

  • Home-based with travel to customer sites across the South East of England
  • Supporting the sales team with technical and application expertise
  • Visiting customers and providing solutions to engineering and manufacturing challenges

  • Delivering product and application training to customers and colleagues
  • Building strong relationships with customers across multiple industry sectors
  • Maintaining accurate records and managing opportunities through the CRM system
  • Collaborating with internal teams to deliver outstanding customer support

The Candidate:

  • HND, Degree or equivalent engineering qualification, or relevant industry experience
  • Previous experience within technical sales, applications engineering, product support or a customer-facing engineering role
  • Experience working within manufacturing, automation, machine building or industrial engineering environments
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Commercial awareness and an interest in developing a career within technical sales
  • Full UK Driving Licence
