Birmingham (Full time Hybrid – 3 days in office) £40,000–£50,000 DOE + Benefits
We’re looking for a commercially sharp Ecommerce & Digital Manager who is also a strong AI operator - someone who knows how to use modern AI tools to move faster, improve output, and drive real ecommerce performance. Reporting directly into the Marketing Director in a newly created role, you’ll take ownership of the ecommerce estate, operating at the intersection of trading, data, and AI. You’ll be hands-on in the platforms, running the day-to-day, while leveraging agents and automation to scale content, improve conversion, and unlock growth. You are naturally passionate and inquisitive about all things AI with the ability to effectively demonstrate success in creating successful AI workflows from scratch. The Role – What You’ll Be Doing
- Own the day-to-day across e-commerce platforms (inc. Shopify) from product uploads and collections to shipping, metafields, PDPs, and tracking.
- Build and run agents to generate product content, imagery, and reporting.
- Improve conversion, spot trends, diagnose issues, and implement fixes proactively.
- Own product data and Merchandise activity. Highlight trends, optimise titles, imagery, bundles, search, and on-site journeys to drive conversion.
- Brief and oversee agency and tool partners, ensuring output is aligned and accountable.
- Effectively automate process. Building workflows with relevant AI agents and tools.
What We’re Looking For
- AI-native mindset – You actively use tools like Claude, or Gemini and can produce production-ready outputs through prompting and workflows.
- Ecommerce platform experience – Strong operator within Shopify and ideally with knowledge and experience of other CMS platforms.
- Commercial and analytical thinking – You understand what drives conversion and can interpret performance data to take action quickly.
- Confident with data tools – Experience using GA4, Shopify Analytics, Search Console, and Google Ads.
- Ownership mentality – You take responsibility end-to-end and focus on outcomes.
- Proactive, creative and curious mindset with the desire and ability to put new ideas forward and effectively implement.
- Experience working within SME environment where you’ve worked effectively across both hands on technical and strategically driven tasks.
