My client, a packing company based in Worcestershire, is looking to recruit a Flexible Packaging Print Operator on a Temp to Perm or Permanent basis, depending on availability.

The main responsibilities associated with the role include:

  1. Setting up and printing high-quality designs up to 8 colours onto flexible plastic substrates and paper.
  2. Maintaining a high level of quality, accuracy, and productivity to ensure efficient day-to-day running of wide web flexographic printing press.
  3. Ensuring press speeds are optimized, maximizing uptime and minimizing downtime, continually checking on safe and efficient operation.
  4. Reporting issues to the Quality department that may affect output throughout the shift.
  5. Maintaining good housekeeping on the press and surrounding areas – 5S auditing.
  6. Maintaining stock levels of all necessary materials to fulfill the shift efficiently.

As a suitable candidate, you will offer the following:

  1. Previous experience of flexographic print.
  2. Knowledge of lamination and slitting process.
  3. Experience of mounting process.
  4. Ability to manage and deal with change in a fast-moving and demanding environment whilst still maintaining standards set within the business.
  5. Ability to work as a team as well as on own initiative and contribute to the continuous improvement activity.

The role is based on 48 hours work per week (there may be additional hours depending upon business requirements), with a proposed salary of up to £40,000.00.
