Jark Stevenage are currently looking for an Injection Mould Toolmaker for a successful company in Stevenage. The role involves the manufacture and modification of injection mould tools in a modern well-equipped toolroom, with Hurco machining centres, Sodick wire eroders, Sodick spark eroders, and Jones & Shipman surface grinders. In-house design is done using Pro Engineer and CAM programming using Powermill.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Use of manual milling machines
  • Use of lathes
  • Use of surface and cylindrical grinders
  • Use of manual and CNC spark eroders
  • Use of CNC wire eroder
  • Modification & Repair of Injection Mould Tools
  • Manufacture and fitting of new injection mould tools
  • Using hand tools such as files, hacksaws and grinders
  • Experience in general toolmaking, milling, grinding and fitting
  • Wiring of hot runner systems and fault finding

To be considered for the role you must have:

  • Experience in injection mould toolmaking, and high precision machining, milling, grinding and fitting.
  • Understanding and experience of fitting and assembly of complex mould tools including their repair.
  • The ability to work to tight time scales without compromising quality and safety.
  • Maintenance, repair and modification on Injection Mould Tools.
  • Preparing new mould tools for production.
  • The ability to communicate well and be part of a team in a small business.
