Jark Stevenage are currently looking for an Injection Mould Toolmaker for a successful company in Stevenage. The role involves the manufacture and modification of injection mould tools in a modern well-equipped toolroom, with Hurco machining centres, Sodick wire eroders, Sodick spark eroders, and Jones & Shipman surface grinders. In-house design is done using Pro Engineer and CAM programming using Powermill.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Use of manual milling machines
- Use of lathes
- Use of surface and cylindrical grinders
- Use of manual and CNC spark eroders
- Use of CNC wire eroder
- Modification & Repair of Injection Mould Tools
- Manufacture and fitting of new injection mould tools
- Using hand tools such as files, hacksaws, and grinders
- Wiring of hot runner systems and fault finding
To be considered for the role you must have:
- Experience in injection mould toolmaking, and high precision machining, milling, grinding, and fitting.
- Understanding and experience of fitting and assembly of complex mould tools including their repair.
- The ability to work to tight time scales without compromising quality and safety.
- Maintenance, repair, and modification on Injection Mould Tools.
- Preparing new mould tools for production.
- The ability to communicate well and be part of a team in a small business.
