Jark Stevenage are urgently recruiting for a Curtain Wall Fixer & Fixers Mate for a 4 week contract in Bridgend, Wales (with chance to move to the next site). The work will be for around 4 to 6 weeks with rates of £22 for the Curtain Wall Fixer and £20 for the Mate, working 10 hours a day.

Curtain Wall Fixer Key Responsibilities:

  • Install curtain wall systems including glass, aluminium panels, and structural framing.
  • Read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and plans.
  • Measure, cut, and fit materials using hand and power tools.
  • Align and secure curtain wall frames and panels with precision.
  • Apply sealants, gaskets, and weatherproofing materials.
  • Collaborate with site managers, engineers, and other trades.
  • Conduct inspections and fix any alignment or fitting issues.
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, including working at height protocols.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Curtain Wall Fixer or similar role in façade installation.
  • Good understanding of curtain wall systems, materials, and installation techniques.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and construction documents.
  • Comfortable working at heights using scaffolding or MEWPs (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms).
  • CSCS card or equivalent construction site certification.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Curtain Wall Installation (preferred).
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Physical fitness and manual dexterity.

Desirable:

  • IPAF certification (for using powered access equipment).
  • PASMA certification (for mobile tower scaffolds).
