We are looking for an experienced and proactive Construction Supervisor / Foreman to oversee the successful delivery of a £1 million Royal Mail depot refurbishment in Northampton. This is a hands-on site management role requiring strong leadership, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple trades to deliver the project safely, on programme, and to a high standard of quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day supervision and management of all site activities.
  • Coordinate and manage all subcontractors, including: Mechanical (HVAC and plumbing), Electrical, General building trades.
  • Ensure works are completed in accordance with the programme and project specifications.
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping on site.
  • Liaise with the Project Manager, client representatives, and subcontractors.
  • Plan and coordinate daily and weekly work activities.
  • Monitor quality of workmanship and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  • Resolve on-site issues efficiently to minimise delays.
  • Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks, and ensure RAMS are adhered to.
  • Manage site logistics, deliveries, and material coordination.
  • Maintain accurate site records and progress reporting.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Construction Supervisor or Foreman on refurbishment projects.
  • Experience managing mechanical, electrical, and general building trades simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and coordination.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet programme deadlines.
  • SMSTS qualification.
  • CSCS Supervisor or Manager Card.
  • First Aid at Work certification.
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred).
