Banksman - Immediate Start
Location: Widnes, Cheshire. Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 4:00pm. Pay: £12.75 per hour PAYE or £14.29 per hour (including rolled-up holiday pay).
We are currently recruiting for a Banksman to join a busy warehouse and logistics operation based in Widnes, Cheshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure ongoing, full-time work with regular daytime hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely guiding HGVs and other vehicles around the site.
- Directing reversing vehicles using the correct hand signals.
- Ensuring pedestrian and vehicle movements are carried out safely.
- Assisting with traffic management within the yard.
- Communicating clearly with drivers and warehouse staff.
- Carrying out regular yard safety checks.
- Keeping the yard clean, tidy and free from hazards.
- Following all company health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Banksman, Yard Marshal or Traffic Marshal is preferred.
- A Banksman/Vehicle Marshal qualification is advantageous but not essential as experience will be considered.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Reliable, punctual and safety conscious.
