Electrical Estimator (M&E) Chelmsford £60,000-£65,000 + package + bonuses Jark Cambridge are proud to be exclusively representing a well-established NICEIC commercial Electrical Contractor. Established over 20 years ago, our client are true pioneers within the building services industry with a rich history of delivering prestigious projects from large commercial to industrial projects. About the role: Our Client are looking to expand their in-house Estimating division by employing a skilled Electrical Estimator with a proven track record in estimating large Commercial & Industrial projects, ranging from £500k-£2.5million. In this role you will need to be responsible for analysing project requirements, preparing detailed cost estimates and evaluating quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. • Bid management: Review bid documents, drawings and specifications to analyse the project scope and requirements. • Subcontractor/suppliers: Evaluate quotations to ensure cost certainty in-line with projects scope/requirements. • Estimate preparation: Supplying detailed costing estimates for all aspects of the project for review/analysis before submissions. • Risk analysis: Assess project risks through scope of works, providing alternative design ideas and potential value engineering exercises. • Collaboration: Project collaboration with office project managers and site teams, ensure costs are correct and projects are in-line with pricing. We’re ideally looking for someone with the following; • Experience of 3-5 years in Electrical estimating. • Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices. • Attention to detail and strong independence skills. • Take the lead on estimating projects up to £2.5million • Excellent communication both written and verbal skills.
