My client, an Engineering company based in Worcester (WR4) is looking to recruit an EDM Technician on a Temp to Perm basis. There are 2 shifts available: Day shift, Mon-Fri and PM shift, Mon-Thurs and Friday.
The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Operate and maintain EDM machines to produce parts
- Set-up and calibrate EDM equipment
- Read and interpret drawings
- Inspect parts for quality
- Document and report production data
As a suitable candidate you will offer the following:
- Experience using Sodick ALC800C, Sodick VL600QH, Agie Charmilles CUT AM 500 and Excetek 1280 would be advantageous
- Technical certification in EDM or related field preferred
- Proven experience of using EDM machines
- Strong understanding of EDM processes and techniques
The pay-rate will be based on a salary of between £35,000 and £38,000 with a 20% shift allowance for the PM shift.
