Domestic Plumber (Gas Safe) – £50,000 - £55,000 + overtime, call-out allowance & company van

Jark Cambridge are proud to partner with this multi-discipline organisation to support them on a Domestic Plumber opening. We are looking for an experienced, qualified Domestic Plumber with Gas Safe certification to join our growing team. This is a field-based role working on residential properties, carrying out plumbing installations, servicing, and repairs. You will be the face of our company when on-site, so professionalism, reliability, and excellent customer service are key.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out plumbing and heating installations, maintenance, servicing, and emergency repairs in domestic properties.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults quickly and efficiently.
  • Work on boilers, central heating systems, pipework, and bathroom/kitchen plumbing.
  • Conduct landlord safety checks and issue Gas Safety Certificates where required.
  • Respond to call-outs and emergencies in line with company SLAs.
  • Advise customers on repair options and provide clear explanations of work carried out.
  • Ensure compliance with Gas Safe, Building Regulations, and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Complete all job reports, certificates, and documentation accurately.
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools, and stock levels to a high standard.
  • Represent the company professionally at all times.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Essential
    • Gas Safe registered (current and valid).
    • NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in Plumbing and Heating.
    • Proven experience in domestic plumbing and heating maintenance/installation.
    • Full UK driving licence (clean).
    • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong customer service and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • Desirable
    • Unvented hot water system qualification (G3).
    • Experience with smart heating systems (Nest, Hive, etc.).

Working Hours

Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, with optional overtime and participation in call-out rota).
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum (DOE) + overtime + call-out allowance.
