My client in the Knaresborough area are looking for an experienced CNC Wood Machinist. We are looking for a highly skilled CNC Machinist to programme, set and run our 4 axis Homag, 5 axis Morbidelli and 3 axis SCM CNC machines. You will be an integral part of our Production process that works with solid grade laminates, MDF, MFC, solid surface & plastic materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating CNC machinery with a keen eye for detail as well as the ability to problem solve and adjust programmes where necessary.
Key responsibilities:
- To have overall operation of the CNC machines
- Ensure all panels produced meet the company quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machinery and production process
- Ability to work on own with minimal supervision
- Work with the Production Team to complete the production process in an efficient and timely manner
- Maintain a well organised workspace
- Train and assist other team members to be able to operate the CNC machinery
- Follow company Health & Safety procedures
Skills:
- Proficient in operating CNC router in wood panel industry
- Ability to program would be an added bonus – Woodwop and Xilog
- An eye for detail with a high level of accuracy
- Able to work under pressure
- Team player with a positive and friendly attitude and good communication skills
- Experience with materials handling, ensuring safe and efficient movement of products
- FLT Qualified (desirable)
