Location: Epping, Essex

Salary: £65,000 + package + bonus.

The Role

As a Mechanical Estimator you will play a key role in the pre-construction team, responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for major commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing detailed mechanical estimates for commercial projects up to £6.5 m.
• Analysing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
• Producing cost plans, take-offs, and tender submissions.
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
• Identifying value engineering opportunities and commercial risks.
• Working closely with project managers and directors during handover.

About You

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the building services sector.
• Strong background in commercial projects (office, education, healthcare, etc.).
• Excellent understanding of mechanical systems and specifications.
• Confident working on tenders in the £1 m‑£6.5 m range.
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
