A leading electrical contractor based in Colchester is looking for an experienced Working Electrical Supervisor or an Electrician to step into a Supervisor position, to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrician who enjoys being hands-on with the tools, whilst also taking responsibility for managing commercial projects from start to finish.
The Role
As a Working Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and delivering commercial electrical projects valued at up to £1 million across East Anglia.
You’ll be a key point of contact on site, managing the day-to-day delivery of projects while remaining hands-on with installation work.
This is ideal for someone who enjoys the variety of installing, coordinating, supervising and managing.
- Your responsibilities will include
- Supervising and delivering commercial electrical projects up to £1m.
- Carrying out electrical installation work alongside your team.
- Managing and coordinating electricians and subcontractors.
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to a high standard.
- Coordinating site activities and resolving issues as they arise.
- Working closely with project managers, clients and other trades.
- Taking ownership of the day-to-day running of projects.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and health & safety.
- Travelling to commercial projects across East Anglia.
About You
We’re looking for an experienced electrician who has progressed into a supervisory role, or an existing Electrical Supervisor who still enjoys being hands-on.
You’ll need to be confident managing a commercial project and a team, whilst also being happy to get involved with the electrical installation yourself.
You’ll be someone who
- Has strong commercial electrical experience.
- Has previous supervisory or project leadership experience.
- Is confident managing projects and people.
- Still enjoys working on the tools.
- Takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
- Can communicate effectively with clients, colleagues and subcontractors.
- Is organised, reliable and able to work independently.
- Is happy to travel across East Anglia as required.
