We are working with a well-established and highly regarded M&E contractor based in Cambridge who are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project Manager. The role will involve managing large-scale commercial projects from pre-construction through to final handover, with mechanical values up to Β£8 million. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage mechanical services packages on large commercial projects from inception to completion.
- Take full ownership of project delivery including programme, cost control, quality, and health & safety.
- Coordinate closely with clients, consultants, main contractors, and internal delivery teams.
- Manage subcontractors, procurement, and material scheduling.
- Oversee commissioning, snagging, and final handover.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
- Produce regular progress reports and attend project meetings.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within the M&E / building services sector.
- Experience delivering commercial projects, ideally with values up to Β£8m.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services (HVAC, pipework, plant, etc.)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and cost control experience.
- Relevant mechanical or building services qualification (preferred).
- SMSTS / CSCS (or willingness to obtain).
