We are seeking a dedicated Yard Operative / Steel Loader to join our clients team.
This role involves the safe and efficient handling of materials within a busy warehouse environment, specialising in steel and heavy goods.
The successful candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading materials, operating relevant machinery, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods through our facility.

Responsibilities
Load and unload steel and other heavy materials using appropriate equipment such as forklifts.
Operate forklift trucks safely and efficiently, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Assist with warehouse organisation, including stacking, storing, and retrieving materials.
Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and timely dispatch.
Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and movement of goods.
Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
Support with mechanical tasks related to material handling equipment as required.

Experience
Previous experience in warehouse operations or construction environments is preferred.
